Wingsuit Flying

Category Fly

Wingsuit Flying is about pushing boundaries.  Some of the legendary feats include landing wingsuit jump without a parachute, courtesy of British jumper, Gary Connery.  Connery leaped out of a helicopter at 2,400 feet and glided towards a 350×45-foot-wide landing strip, made from 18,600 cardboard boxes stacked 12 feet high. Gary’s horrified wife remarked, “he is obviously totally bonkers.” During his descent, Connery still reached speeds of up to 80mph.  Notwithstanding, Connery altered his wingsuit configuration so by the time he landed in the boxes he was traveling 15 mph (24 km/h).
