Speedflying

Category Fly

Speedflying is to paragliding like a fighter jet is to a prop plane.  Speed is everything! You launch from a slope, with the wing overhead and inflated.  The ride is fast and close to the slope of the mountain.  Speedgliders fly at speeds of 20 to 95 mph (32 to 145 kph).  One of the most jaw-dropping feats in this sport was achieved by Jamie Lee, who set a record for descending the Swiss Alps in under three minutes, showcasing the breathtaking speed and precision of this extreme sport
