Mountain Biking Downhill (MTB)

Category Bike

There is nothing safe about charging down a narrow trail sometimes no wider than a foot at speeds up to 64 kph (40mph), all while navigating through boulders, rock gardens, 10-foot drops and tight corners. As such, the only trails that qualify for XDGE are those ranked as Black diamond and Double Black diamond by the MTB project.  The world speed record for mountain biking is held by Eric Barone (aka “Red Baron”) who reached 227.7kph (141.5 mph) on a snow packed mountain in Vars, France on March 18, 2017, at the age of 56!
