Rock - Sport & Aid

Category Climb

Imagine the thrill of ascending a vertical rock face with nothing but your strength, skill, and a few pieces of metal for protection. Sport climbing focuses on the climber's skill and strength, using pre-placed protection, while aid climbing involves the use of mechanical aids to assist in the ascent, even if the climber also needs to use their own strength and skill. Both Sport and Aid climbing are typically done in pairs.
