Motorcar - Drag Racing

Category Motorcar

Pro:  You won’t experience more speed or noise in less than four seconds!  Two cars hurtle down a short drag strip side by side for 402 meters (1/4 mile). Top fuel dragsters can achieve speeds topping 338 miles per hour (544.0 km/h) and finishing the 1,000-foot (304.8 m) runs in 3.62 seconds. The loser of each run “goes home” in an elimination-style format.

Non-pro:  Not everyone can race in a sanctioned race such as NASCAR or National Hot Rod Association (“NHRA”). However, you can still race at a non-professional event hosted at an abandoned airfield or a real track.  There are many NHRA tracks utilized for such racing.   To qualify as an XDGE sport requires 256 kph (160 mph).
