Whitewater Kayaking

Category Whitewater

How about those drops?  The tallest waterfall kayaked was 57.6 meters (189 feet) over Palouse Falls, Washington State, U.S.A.  That is slightly higher than the biggest drop at Niagara Falls! You know a record is insane when less than half-dozen people have attempted it. Rivers classed I-III don’t qualify as XDGE.  According to the “International Scale of River Difficulty,” Class IV is considered Advanced, Class V is Expert, and Class VI is Extreme and Exploratory with runs that are rarely if ever run due to difficulty, unpredictability, danger and rescue being impossible.
